I totaled out my Dodge truck when a 16 year old kid ran a stop sign. The kid was written two citations. When the air bag deployed my left arm was already in front of my face. At this time the air bag hit my arm. I eventually had surgery on my shoulder due to the accident. It was a major surgery and I was put under. I have signed up with a lawyer but just after talking with the insurance company. They would not give me any answers. Thanks

The insurance should have already paid you for the truck. That’s handled separately from your injury, usually. What did your insurance company say about it? Sometimes they can motivate the other person’s insurance company to pay up.

The lawyer will take a third of what you get. He will ask for a lot, the insurance company will offer a lot less, they’ll go back and forth and eventually they’ll reach an agreement on an amount and you’ll get paid. It could take up to a year, though.
