Can I find decent car insurance rate with my ever growing driving record?
I used to get a really good insurance rate with AAA because my mom had a friend who was an agent there so she loaded me up with as many discounts and perks as she could. She also didn’t check my driving record after my policy started to see all my moving violations that were being added to my record. I’m not really sure how point removal works as far as how many years and all that (yeah, I’ve been lazy on getting the details) but I have a lot of speeding violations, a wreckless driving violation (totally bullshit how I got that one), one weather related accident and my license has also been suspended twice for missing court. So, once I needed to renew my policy my insurance company denied me because of the suspensions. Now for me to get insurance I have to pay an unbelievable amount of money a month which I probably wouldn’t be able to afford. Any kind of help on this one would be great!
OK, a guy with at least one at fault accident, two license suspensions, a reckless driving, and a whole bunch of speeding tickets, wants the same rate on insurance as someone who’s got a clean record.
Ain’t gonna happen.
On the bright side, your credit score can affect your rates, too. So on the chance that you’ve got a 750 or better, well, you STILL won’t pay the same rate as a clean driver, but it’s better than someone with two suspensions, a reckless, an atfault and a buncha tickets with a 500.
You’ve done the play part, now you’ve got the pay part. Sorry, the only way out is to sell your car and take cabs/busses for a few years.
