Auto Insurance in Ontario?

Hi,
I just bought a used Toyota Tercel 1999.
I am living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
I am wondering in anyone knows which auto insurance comapny is the best in terms of giving a good rate and give you least hassle about claims.

all help is greatly appreciated.

For car insurance the easiest method to get a free quote is do a policy comparison. If you choose the same coverage levels, you can get an quick quote to compare against others. Use the same city/state, auto make and model, mileage and driving history to make sure you get accurate comparison. To get easy auto quotes, go to http://www.autoadviceonline.com/Auto-Insurance-Quote.html and you can compare the major auto insurance companies.

aaa car insurance discounts

aaa car insurance discounts
Can I find decent car insurance rate with my ever growing driving record?

I used to get a really good insurance rate with AAA because my mom had a friend who was an agent there so she loaded me up with as many discounts and perks as she could. She also didn’t check my driving record after my policy started to see all my moving violations that were being added to my record. I’m not really sure how point removal works as far as how many years and all that (yeah, I’ve been lazy on getting the details) but I have a lot of speeding violations, a wreckless driving violation (totally bullshit how I got that one), one weather related accident and my license has also been suspended twice for missing court. So, once I needed to renew my policy my insurance company denied me because of the suspensions. Now for me to get insurance I have to pay an unbelievable amount of money a month which I probably wouldn’t be able to afford. Any kind of help on this one would be great!

OK, a guy with at least one at fault accident, two license suspensions, a reckless driving, and a whole bunch of speeding tickets, wants the same rate on insurance as someone who’s got a clean record.

Ain’t gonna happen.

On the bright side, your credit score can affect your rates, too. So on the chance that you’ve got a 750 or better, well, you STILL won’t pay the same rate as a clean driver, but it’s better than someone with two suspensions, a reckless, an atfault and a buncha tickets with a 500.

You’ve done the play part, now you’ve got the pay part. Sorry, the only way out is to sell your car and take cabs/busses for a few years.

cheapest auto insurance ny

Cheap auto insurance in NY? Not the greatest history.?

I’ve had several accidents over the years, 2 major last year. Neither were my fault. Anyways, it seems no matter what company I use, I start off reasonable then all of a sudden a few months later they “find” the accidents and my rates skyrocket. I’m currently up for renewal, and I owe 700 and something at the end the month to stay with them, and then like 300 in something every month. I know I don’t have the greatest history and stuff, but there’s got to be cheaper. Right now I’m using Progressive. In the past I’ve used Geico, but have gotten estimates elsewhere too…. Any other suggestions??? I work a minimum wage job. I can’t afford this….. If I lived in the city I would so sell my car and just take subway considering my luck in driving, gas prices, car payments, and insurance, ughhh!!! Anyways, cheap insurance needed, please???
I might add I got a fairly new car — 2006, that I’m still making payments on. I wanna keep the full coverage, I think.

If you have shopped around, then it probably won’t do any good to shop around some more. Have you considered reducing some of your coverage?, increasing your deductibles? Doing so will reduce your premiums (and reduce your protection)

rental car insurance usa

rental car insurance usa
What kind of car insurance do I need for a rental, when I DON’T have any current auto insurance?

We are looking to rent a car for a month, and since we are both ex-pats, we don’t have any USA car insurance. We’ve looked up and discovered we should get Collision, Liability and Comprehensive insurance. Where can we get these for cheap? My travel insurance includes a Collision option, but no Liability or Comprehensive (I’m American, my husband is English).

You can buy them from the rental car company.

You cannot get a policy, for a month, for a rental car. You have to buy the coverage from the rental car company – and it’s not cheap.
