car insurance in southern california

What’s the best car insurance?
I’m about to get a car, it will be my first car, and I know the insurance will be more expensive because I just turned 19, but how much should I expect to pay and what is the best insurance I should get? I live in Southern California (Redondo Beach) and I have a 2006 red toyota yaris. Thanks.
I would go with either Geico or Progressive. They tend to be the cheapest companies for teen drivers. It’s hard to give you a ballpark number without knowing a bit more information, and every person is different. One insurance company might be cheaper for you and more expensive for someone else.
There are alot of different factors that insurance companies look at to determine your rate. Here are some questions to think about that the insurance companies will ask you. How is your driving record? Are you going to be on your parent’s policy? Are you male or female? Does your car have safety features? Are you a good student?
The single best thing you can do to get the cheapest auto insurance possible is to do your research. It might take a little bit of effort but the more you shop around, the more likely you are to find a good rate. I found the website below really helpful because it allows you to compare rate quotes for all of the insurance companies in your area for free.
Good Luck!
