Cost of repair for a Jeep Cherokee Laredo plastic bumper?

So I went to a park and parked in a parking spot opposite of everyone else. My acquaintance was flying out of the parking lot like a bat out of hell and banged into the back of my jeep. Now his car is quite big, its a Excursion. He tried to ‘pop out the dent’ and obviously it didnt work. He didn’t want to file a police report and I called my dad and said it wasnt a good idea either. While I understand it was late at night and my jeep is black there is no excuse. He blamed it on the size of the jeep being so small. At this point I dont know what to do. Im friends with his sister from tennis, so he cant really get out of it easily. He told his parents too. Does anyone know around how much it would cost if a repair was done without insurance coverage?
