What is the best way to compare auto insurance quotes?

I am needing to find new car insurance, and I of course would like to shop around for the best deal. Can anyone recommend a good site that will compile your information and give you multiple accurate quotes from different companies? I am leery to enter my information into a third party database, so confidentiality, professionalism and no spam is a must. Thank you!

Geico is good and others too. For a true comparison use the binder from your current insurnace so that the quotes you get are for the same levels on insurance that you have. Make sure you understand the coverage too.

Reducing the Cost of Your Car Insurance

Chosing the car to drive – Your choice of car makes a huge difference to the cost of your car insurance. Before you buy the car make sure that you can get insurance to drive it and at a price you can afford. The greater the car’s power and the greater its specification the more it will cost to insure. Four wheel drive vehicles can also cost more, primarily because they are larger and heavier and if they are involved in an accident, they tend to inflict greater damage on the other vehicles involved. Therefore, please ensure that the car you are interested really does suit your needs – don’t let your heart rule your head!

Type of Car Insurance – The two most popular types of car insurance in this country are third party fire and theft and fully comprehensive car insurance.

The cheapest type of car insurance is Third Party Fire and Theft. This insurs you for the loss of, or damage to, your vehicle by theft or fire. And if you’re involved in an accident, and the accident was your fault, it covers any damage you caused to property owned by third parties. Fully comprehensive car insurance on the other hand insures you for everytghing, including all damage to your own car.

The Excess – The excess is the money you have to pay yourself in the event of a claim. Then any cost over and above the excess is met by your insurer. A typical excess is in the range of £50 to £150. The higher your excess, the cheaper your policy will become, but the more you,ll have to payout in the event of a claim.

Additional Drivers – Only add drivers to your policy who are really necessary. Extra drivers will increase the cost of your insurance especially if any of them are young or have a poor claims history.

Security - Fitting approved alarms and immobilisers is also an excellent way to reduce insurance costs, typically by 10%.

Drive carefully. The cheapest way to keep your costs down is to keep a clean driving licence and maintain a good claims history.

the general auto insurance services

the general auto insurance services
Any ideas for a job?

I’m racking my brain trying to think of something, so here I am asking for ideas.

I’m 23, have an AA (just generals, though), and live near the SE Metro in MN. I have 5 years experience in customer service (3 of those in retail), 4 years of computer repair and technical support experience, 2 of which were in an educational setting working on a 200-node network.

I also have clerical and call center experience, some experience with coaching/tutoring, basic auto repair, programming, and am in decent enough shape that I can do some manual labor as well.

My significant other is pregnant, due in January, and moving in with me very soon, so I need to figure something out ASAP. Going back to school for more than a semester is ruled out.

I’ll take whatever I can get right now, but by early next year I’m going to need at least $19/hr, $22+ if no medical insurance is included, between 32 and 36 hrs/wk (4 days @ 8-9 hrs), and at least 5 weeks vacation per year (unpaid is fine).

satellite tv dish installer. they train amd pay about $15/hr. always hiring. dish network or direct tv.
