finance concepts help?

Bob Brown was recently involved in a minor auto accident. His car was hit from behind, and he, in turn, slammed into the car in front of him. He would like someone to explain his coverage and show him where, in his auto policy, each of his losses might be covered. The explanantion of coverage and the location of coverage should be in general terms for most auto insurance policies, please do not use only your personal auto insurance policy as your guide for your response.

Help him out by doing that for each of the following items.

The cost of a medical checkup for his passenger, Ruth.

The front and rear damage to his car.

The damage to the car in front of him.

The damage to the car behind him.

The total amount of liability protection for bodily harm and property damage.

Impossible to answer – you left out which STATE Bob lives in.

There are a variety of answers, depending on each state’s law. Example: Ruth might have to collect under her own auto policy for medical payments, or maybe Bob’s, or maybe her parent’s if she’s a minor and lives with them, or maybe the guy who hit her. See? There is no “general” term for “most” policies, as each will be state specific.

Will the health care bill set legal precedent?

Can government now force you to buy specific goods and services?

Auto Insurance is only for using the PUBLIC roads and is a state mandate. You can drive on private land all you want without insurance.

What’s next?
Forced purchase of GE/MSNBC washing machines?

….IF it passes, then the legal challenges begin.

Auto Insurance Price Increase?

Hello everyone…

December 5th, 1010, I should be able to get my driver’s permit, however, my parents agree that I have to be able to pay for my insurance increase or else I can’t get my permit. Does anyone have any idea how much that increase might be?

General Info:

Age: Will be fifteen years and six months
Insurance Company: Farmers Insurance
Classes Taken: None
Grades: Over 3.0
School: Glendale Preparatory Academy (College Prep School)
Location: Arizona

Any estimates would be appreciated. Thank you all and good night! :)

Call your agent and ask for a quote. Take a drivers ed class and get the certificate, that will lower your premium. If you get good grades, get a copy of your report card and give it to the agent, that will lower your premium. Do this ahead of time. Ask the agent if you can pay monthly and how much deposit to do that. No one can estimate how much your insurance will be. It varies by state and location and driver. Premiums are developed by looking at prior years losses. Each year you drive with no accidents will lower your premium considerably. When you start driving, and I can’t stress this enough, stay well behind the car in front of you. Stay back twice as far as you think you should. The reason why is because new drivers take three years to train the subconscious mind depth perception. Because you are young, you have better reflexes but you do not have depth perception developed yet. The number one teen accident is rear enders. You can’t stop fast enough because your brain isn’t trained through enough experience yet. So just stay back and you eliminate that problem. Neither of my kids had accidents because they heeded my advice in that area. And I know they would have if not. My daughter was terrible at first. And my son just went too fast. They’re both great drivers now and no accidents ever. One is 42 the other 38. Also, don’t cart a bunch of kids around. It distracting and you could very well have an accident. Keep the music down and your eyes on the road. Driving is serious business. You don’t want to know you hurt someone for the rest of their life because of carelessness. I’ve even seen kids texting while driving. Good Grief! I trust you are a level headed young lady or you wouldn’t be asking here on answers.
Good luck.

auto insurance by mileage

auto insurance by mileage
How an insurance company to decide if the car is a total loss?

I was involved in a car accident while SUV driving my 2007 that had about 5000 miles on it. All side airbags deployed, rolled the vehicle near and the damage is severe. I was told by the driver Crane and the owner of The Body Shop which was towed the car because the car had low mileage, the insurance company can decide to fix it instead of the total. I do not want to repair the car if the only thing preventing that to be achieved, is the fact that they had low mileage. With damages so that the vehicle have no value to me if I ever decide to sell or trade it in. Do I have any recourse to the insurance company?

Most States have laws requiring insurers to all vehicles, if the damage is greater than a certain percentage of value (also called ACV – Actual Cash Value). The percentage will be 70 80% depending on your condition. If the damage is beyond this percentage, the company has no choice, but in general car. On the contrary, if the damage is less than the percentage, then they have to repair the car. Sorry, but that does not want the rear of the vehicle does not save legal relationship on what is happening here. The vehicle would be useful if you decide to trade / sell it later. No doubt the value at once, but it will not no value. Thousands of vehicles were in accidents are sold every day, most with the revelation that he was damaged before. You can try see if the state insurance commissioner will help, but I can say from experience that they will not do a thing. His office can also confirm that the percentage is in the State which makes a total loss of the vehicle. Not that will make a big difference for you, but I always buy cars totaled and rebuilt, and have never had a problem. I sent my two children in college in the reconstruction totaled cars and have never had a problem. Good luck.

florida auto insurance claims

question. Auto insurance has not submitted an application b4.I live in northern Florida.Im about age 25.I had an accident.?

No other vehicle involved. It was raining and when I was driving home i hyrdoplaned and made a 360 turn and collided with the rear of my car in a curb.Should i file a complaint or just fix it without filing a claim? Im afraid if I file a claim for my rates go up and I would lose more money in the long run.I not know what to do.

Depends on the height of your deductible is. If your deduction is $ 500 and the only car costs $ 700 to fix, then supplements will give you $ 200. The presentation a complaint will not necessarily constitute your ins. If you have a good driving record should not increase. Get a quote for a car of The Body Shop. Tell them you do not ins (even taken otherwise) then according to the price, you can decide whether to file a claim.
