Yes you can! It may make it a little higher that you are going to be driving a lot. The insurance companies usually put you in a category based on how many miles you average per year and if you’re in a higher category I imagine your rates are a little higher but I don’t think all companies even ask about mileage. Check out the source I’ve listed below. I don’t think that they take mileage into consideration and know that they have good rates.

Price comparison sites for car insurance are a total waste of time.. ..what do you think?

I recently trawled all of the most popular price comparison sites and found that the information they had was just a waste of time. The car insurance quotes on the sites where all very cheap but when you call the companies they say; ‘Sorry the price quoted on our site is out of date, no longer covers cars in my area’, etc. Then they hit you with the price that they really want to charge you, which is nothing like the figure first quoted. Its just a con to get you to call the companies up. You would save time just calling the companies directly. And to add insult to injury, you get bombarded with emails from god knows who, offering quotes. USE THE PHONE, SAVE THE HASSLE.
