Can you claim car painting on your car insurance?

I plan on selling my car soon, and i would like to re-paint certain parts of my car. Not the whole car, just areas where it has rust. Can I claim this on my car insurace? I have AllState.

I got into a car accident a little while ago and am having trouble with the other party’s car insurance company. The accident was irrefutably the other person’s fault but their insurance company (Statefarm) has yet to resolve the case…two months later!! MY insurance company (Allstate) closed the case within one week but everytime I call the “other” agent he keeps giving me the runaround that his client has yet to submit his statement. WTF?!

State Farm legally CANNOT pay you, based only on YOUR statement. They NEED their client’s statement. Clearly, the client knows this, and has no intention of giving you a statement. Either you or your insurance company are going to have to serve this guy papers, to jump start him in to cooperating.
