My sister was hit by a car while she was crossing the street on her way to school. Now the hospital has sent as a statement asking for her no-fault insurance policy number. We don’t have auto insurance so how do we fill in the form? Can we use the insurance number of the part at fault?

Just tell the hospital billing department you were a pedestrian, hit by a car, and have no insurance. Then ask if they would like the insurance number of the person that hit her.

Will more college students from upper-class families be forced to drop out with Obama in office?

I’m a 20 year old Princeton student in my second year of college. But unlike the bitter racist Michelle Obama, I don’t get financial aid. My parents are both hard-working attorneys. My sister is a year older than me and she attends Dartmouth. Like an idiot, she voted for Obama. My question is “If Obama raise taxes on the upper class, how can my parents possibly afford to pay for my education and my sister’s education in addition to house bills, car insurance(for my car, my sister’s car and their cars) etc? Obama preaches the importance of education, yet he either doesn’t realize or doesn’t care how many upper-class students like me are going to have drop out.

Yes, we need to punish successfull people! Your parrents should pay for underprivaledged kids that will get into your school via racial quota’s! They should make you shovel ditches and allow for the poor kid to have your car too!

I had a good deal from Adrian Flux recently but that does not mean you will. A little knowlege on how they calculate premiums and using the phone rather than the web has always got me lower prices. Premium rates with an insurer can vary from day to day depending on the business they get in so there is no magic answer or formula to get cheap cover.

There are many factors which are used by the insurer to calculate the risk and so the premium they charge for car insurance – these are mainly;
1 Age and sex of the policyholder (who must be the Main driver, and registered keeper) and that of any additional drivers.
2. The cars age, mileage, value, insurance group, security and the companies own claims history for that vehicle
3. The occupation of the policyholder and any named drivers
4. The claims history of any drivers
5. The licence details of drivers (endorsements, length of time held)
6. Where the car is normally kept overnight (is it the policyholders address? on road is more expensive than on a drive which is more expensive than in a locked garage.
7. What use will the car be insured for, social and domestic is the minimum but if commuting and use for the policyholders business or their employers business is added the price increases. If used to commute where is the car to be parked when there – on road or in a car park.
8. Does the car have any modifications from the standard factory fresh condition like alloy wheels or performance enhancements – some insurers will refuse to cover modified cars, some will increase the price and some will cover them but only for return to standard.
You need to tell the full truth about everything asked and inform them of any changes to any of the details disclosed as the policy goes on – failing to do that can render it null and void.

What happens if you are about 10 days late paying for your car insurance?

School is about to start, and i have an insurance payment coming up on the same week i needed money the most to pay for school supplies including a graphing calculator that costs over $100. If i spend this money, i won’t be able to afford car insurance till the week after and i might be 7-10 days late paying for car insurance. Will anything bad happen if i’m late?

they could cancel your policy but you should contact them on their policy about that. some places allow additional time for a small fee.
