car insurance abu dhabi

Kindly do let me know the cost of living in Dubai / Abu Dhabi (break up wise)?

Dear All, what’s the cost of living in Dubai / DIC / or Abu Dhabi region for a family of 5 (myself, wife & 3 kids). I have a job offer in hand, salary-24000 AED/MONTH lumsum (without Accommodation) with basic medical insurance.
I would prefer to have a furnished 2 / 3 bedroom apartment, normal car. Though I am a CANADIAN / PAKISTANI Citizen.

So, what are the monthly expenses towards medical insurance for the family, electricity, water, petrol/gas, grocery, cable connection, internet, entertainment, etc.

I want to live a normal life, not too much luxuries… since i have to support my family members (parents) in Pakistan. Could any body be kind enough to send me the details about it. I would really appreciate your immediate deep concern. Regards,
Imran.

The salaray of Dhs 24.000 does not sound bad, but………
Furnished appartments will be found mostly in Hotel appartments which will cost you arm and leg. For an unfurnished 2 or 3 bedroom appartment you have to calculate a minimum of Dhs 120.000 yearly paid in advance (mostly).

Medical insurance will not cost you a penny. All these costs have to be on the employer and your whole family will be coverd (regional plan?) in a group insurance.

Internet flat rate is Dhs 250 monthly. Telephone calls from landline to landline in within Abu Dhabi are free.

Electricity, water, petrol/gas is much cheaper than in Canada and will depend on how much you use. A 7er BMW will be filled up with gas for DHS 75 and a Corolla with around DHS 50.

Costs for Groceries and entertainment are up in you own hands. Please visit the link giving below. Click on the different icons and you will get an idea of the prices you’ll have to pay for basic food etc:

Also when you did not mention it, please do not underestimate the fees for the school (do not know how old your kids are).

To make a long story short: after rent is paid you have to deal with the budget left and have to find out what to buy where.
You might end up in buying certain groceries in Carrefour and other in the biggest Supermarket LuLu and other items you are used to by living in Canada in expensive stores like Spinney’s or Abela’s.

You’ll make it. It just takes some experience. If you have any other question regarding Abu Dhabi, please do not hesitate to email me.

Take care.

Dirhams as salary is 25k + car + health insurance is allowed to live in Sharjah of a family of 3 members?

Please please help me, I wonder if a basic salary of between 16 drh UAE 9k housing, more car, health insurance and vacations my family are provided by the company enough to live in Sharjah, and if I could save money?

United Arab Emirates are the most expensive rentals. I think if you want to rent a MAT (Dept. 2-bed), will cost about 5kdhs Atleast a month. We suggest you budget between 5 and 7k dhs (depends on luck too see.) food is not very expensive, unless it decides eat often. Again, the cheap Indian restaurants; Lebanon also. If you need more expensive Italian etc Mexico. But you should budget around 4k dhs per month. By car: By car can cost between 1.5 K ….. anywhere depending on the vehicle you want, you have to take into account the initial period (may be six months or more) to obtain a license. This process of obtaining the license will cost (at least) 2k dhs. Until you get the license of your transportation costs (or time) high. Budget for it. If you live in Sharjah and working in Dubai, please factor from 1 hour to 1.5 hours of travel Atleast every day (one way). Costs trip should not be too much. But their concerns. Schools will be a costly affair, but often the company covers. Contact them. If not covered, you need a factor 2000dhs 800dhs month. It is a big expense. Electricity, water – about 400dhs. Telephones – Once again a great choice, but remember that the costs of calls are extremely high (one of the highest in the world). So you must of factors. Gasoline is cheap. Auto insurance is expensive (can be between 2k to 5k per year). Summary: As someone said, there are people living 1k dhs per month. Average salaries are about 10k 7k dhs for a decent job. So do it right. But if your main goal to save, then be prepared to live in environments less than happy, traveling long hours. If you want to enjoy life and to give their children a good exposure (multi-cultural facilities, well, etc), its perfect and you can do with the salary you mention. One last warning: the use of certain visa restrictions attached. It may not be able to change employment easily. Moreover, (although illegal) I've heard that many companies have their passport. These are the peculiarities of this country (and region). Be prepared for them. Adjust your expectations accordingly and you can enjoy life. Welcome to the UAE. Enjoy your stay

car insurance low mileage discount

Finding Vauxhall Car Insurance

You’ve finally spent thousands of pounds buying that Vauxhall car you’ve been dreaming about. Now how are you going to insure it? Insurance policies have gotten to be pretty expensive with car accidents creeping higher everyday. Vauxhall car insurance won’t be as expensive as you imagined if you gain the discounts that insurance companies can provide you under certain terms and conditions. After investing so much money in buying your dream car, you owe it to yourself to have a financial back up plan for your vehicle in case it encounters an unfortunate situation.

Currently, Vauxhall car insurance companies in the UK are offering discounts for female drivers looking to get insurance on their cars. Insurance companies after analysing data found that women are more careful while driving, they drive shorter distances and so they are less likely to get into accidents.

If you know that you’re going to be using your Vauxhall only for occasional pleasure drives to the countryside, you should check with your insurer if you qualify for a limited mileage discount. If you take your car out for a spin only once in a while, there’s not a big chance you’ll get your Vauxhall car into an accident. If you drive your Vauxhall only a couple thousand miles a year you’ll most likely qualify for the low mileage discount.

Another way to get a good deal on your insurance is to take a course with the Institute of Advanced Motorists. Such qualifications to back up your driving skills will let insurers know without a doubt, that you are a skilled and trained driver. With the additional skills, insurance companies know you have what it takes to avoid an accident and be a responsible driver.

Insurance companies providing coverage for Vauxhall cars often have a policy especially for modified vehicles if required. It is your responsibility to let the insurance company know if you have had your Vauxhall modified even if it’s not directly related to the performance of the vehicle (this may include aspects such as certain alloy wheels that are added to the car). You should be notifying your insurance company even if you have had a paint job done on your Vauxhall done! And you may be surprised to find that certain enhancements on your Vauxhall will reduce your insurance premium. If you fail to notify your insurance company that you have modified or enhanced your vehicle, when you get into an accident and they uncover the truth, they will cancel your policy when you need to depend on it the most.

It pays to join the Vauxhall Owners Club because car insurance companies will give you a discount for being a member. Many of the clubs are free to join if you own a Vauxhall and provide you with helpful technical advice and support from other members. You can get in touch with the car dealership you purchased your Vauxhall with to find out information about the Vauxhall Owners Club or you can browse online to find their website.

It is in your best interests to enhance your vehicle with the top of the line anti-theft technology so a thief will find it much more difficult to steal your Vauxhall. Your insurance company will also be able to decrease your insurance premiums if you have your vehicle built in with an alarm, engine immobiliser, steering wheel lock, and other security features. Insurance companies will do their best to design a Vauxhall car insurance policy to fit your requirements and specific needs.
