Purchasing an 09 Acura RDX?

I’m located in the state of Hawaii where Acura and Toyota have monopolies. We have a Pflueger Acura here who has quoted me $38,000 on a brand new 2009 Acura RDX initially. After I said no, they dropped it down to $35,500. The MSRP is less than $34,000. All sources online tell people to shoot for invoice price if not below invoice pricing. However, those sources assume that there is more than one dealer in the area selling that particular car. What would be the best method to negotiate in this situation?

Would it be at all feasible to have a friend purchase it in California for a very good price and then have it shipped to Hawaii? Would my friend have to purchase car insurance just to drive it from the dealership to the dock? Would I need to register for California plates first and then for Hawaii plates? Would all these costs and troubles take away from the money I would save by purchasing my car outside of my state?

As far as my knowing,it is a question with various answers,it is definitely depending on the your mind ,providing a great resource here http://www.AutoInsuranceFree.info/free-auto-insurance.htm for reference though.

How can I get a car loan without paying comprehensive insurance?

I would like to buy a eclipse for $6500 and currently only have $2000 in cash. I would like to be able to build some credit and could easily pay the car off in under 6 months. The main thing is that I don’t want to have to have comprehensive insurance on my vehicle while its on the loan cause the price of my insurance will go up $250 making outrageous in my mind. All help welcome thanks!

Then save up 6500 and purchase the car out right.

No lender is going to finance a car with out requiring “full coverage” (collision and comprehensive) coverage on it.

cheap car insurance prices

cheap car insurance prices
17 yr old in uk, looking for any tips to get cheaper car insurance.?

looking for helpful tips to legally lower the price of my car insurance ie what company to go with, whether i should put my mum on my policy etc.

I used admiral’s young person policy when I insured my 1st car-it has a higher excess for under 25’s and you aren’t insured to drive any other cars 3rd party as most policies allow and this made it much cheaper for me. They also do a 10 month bonus accelerator which allows you to get 1 yrs no claims bonus in 10months making your insurance cheaper after that time.

Having another driver on your policy can help. I am now 25 and even having my 22 yr old BF added to my policy made it cheaper!

I have seen companies like Norwich Union advertising that named drivers can get their own no claims bonus which I think is really good for younger drivers, it should make your insurance cheaper as you could put your mum as the main driver and you as a named driver but you can still get a no claims bonus which will really help as you get older.

There are other factors which make insurance cheaper that may be out of your control: engine size, postcode, where the car is parked, immobiliser etc, miles travelled, if you have a pass plus certificate, value of the car etc

Good luck!

Car insurance in the UK?

Ok im 17 and im currently getting ready for my driving test, since I don’t have a car yet i’ve been looking at one and seeing how much it would be to insure in my name.

The sort of car im looking at is a small 1- 1.3Liter Diesel any mileage any age as long as its in ok condition.

The issue is ive found several cars for a reasonable price but the insurance is always in excess of £4,500.

I was wondering if anyone had an idea of where I get fully comprehensive insurance for a more reasonable price.

im open to suggestions on what type of car to get and what insurance provider to look at.

First off, it’s always going to be that expensive if you obtain the insurance yourself. Can your parents drive? If so, get them to take out the insurance in their name, and put you as an additional driver. Currently, I’,m getting £3800 for myself alone, and £1600 under my parent’s policy.

Secondly, don’t use confused.com or any other comparison websites. Use Direct Line.
I used quite a lot of comparison sites, and got quotes of £2500+ w/ parents. Use direct line, and it’ll be much cheaper.
