I’m a 17 year old boy living in maryland and i just got my car. its a black 1995 acura integra ls and im the ONLY licensed driver in my family so the insurance policy will have me as the primary driver.

I got a quote online from Erie and it said i can expect to pay $1200 – $2000 a year for insurance if i insure under minimum deductables. that sounds like a great deal but since its so cheap it sounds kinda fishy

if you have Erie auto insurance or worked for them or something, are they reliable? do they jack up the rates really high after an accident? Thanks!

I was just in a car accident (not my fault) and my car was totaled. But since my parents bought me that car the insurance money goes back to them.
I have no savings! And with xmas right around the corner I’ve overspent and don’t have much credit either.
Is there any real way, maybe online transcriptioning or something that I can make extra money. I already work 7am to 6pm and am in my last year of grad school writing my thesis.
I don’t have much spare time – this accident just came when I was unprepared and I need to get a cheap car quick because I’m paying for the rental right now and it’s expensive!!

I’m 19 years old and I have had my license for about a year. I have no speeding tickets and have never been in a wreck. My driving record is picture perfect. I have been driving my moms car and she has had me under her insurance so it was really cheap. But I’m getting ready to buy an 06′ Chevy Cobalt and where I am buying it off a car lot, she cant afford to put me under her name on insurance, because I will have to get full coverage as where as before I had liability. Is there a place in WV or somewhere online that offers reasonable prices on full coverage insurance for someone of my age. My mom is telling me my insurance is going to be about as much as my car payment. Is there any way to get it lower? I need a cheap place for insurance! Thanks.

I just bought my first car this past weekend. I am now online trying to get some free quotes on insurance. I am a young driver of 18, and I have a sucky ass job with little hours, and I’m enrolled full time in college.

I’m 18, I’ve never owned a car, credit, insurance or anything.

I’ve been living on my own for the last 6 months (moved out of parents house) and finally have enough to buy a car. However, I somehow was quoted $712/mo @ Allstate (online), and I’m definitely not paying that much for a car that’s only worth just under $1,500… that’s insane. I’d rather walk then pay that crap.

What do you suggest I do to get a lot lower insurance rate ($150~ and under a month, 200 tops)?

If it’s oddly possible or somewhat rare of a possibility to get those rates in my condition, then I’m just going to get a motorcycle. I got quoted $124/mo for insurance on a 600cc. I want one more anyway.

Now I’m upside down on my loan and my insurance company says I should have bought it within 30 days of buying my car. I found places online, but, they say I only had 12 months to purchase insurance. Does anyone know of a company where you can buy gap insurance after you’ve owned a car for a couple of years?
