If you get life, renters, and auto insurance is it cheaper than paying just auto through state farm in NYC?

My boyfriend and I opened a new account with State Farm in NYC. They said that it would be cheaper to go with the triple package of renters, life, and auto rather than just auto. Does anyone have insurance in NYC with State Farm and can anyone tell me if this is true of their situation? Auto insurance is really all we need right now but I am just surprised that it is cheaper with all three instead of just auto. Can anyone help me out with this one Please?

I can’t speak for State Farm in NYC, but most companies do offer discounts if you have multiple policies. Usually, they give a percentage discount off of the policies.
For me, there have been a few times where the discount provided on the auto was actually more than the cost of the renter’s policy! So not only is the customer getting a “free” renter’s policy, they save money on the auto as well. Talk about a no brain-er.
That being said, it is rare that this actually happens, and life policies are being underwritten by a completely different set of standards so I find it hard to believe you would get a discount on the life policy for having your auto with them. But again, I’m not a State Farm agent in NYC so I don’t know for sure.

Also make sure you dont get any traffic violations or wrecks and if you do make sure you get a lawyer because those things are what really jacks up your insurance.

You may also be eligible for certain discounts if you are a student and have taken a driving education class.

Last but not least when you do pick an insurance company be sure you stay with them. Because the longer you work with a certain company the more they will work with you on lower rates in the future.

Any good lawyers in North Chicago for excessive police force?

I have an incident with a couple officers. You know how it goes, “I look like someone who just robbed someoe”… I never appeared threatening but they slammed my face against the car, put me in handcuffs, and slammed my ankle in the door 3 times. My ankle hurts, but it will be fine in a week or so im sure. But the attorney I talked to said it had to be a serious injury with broken bones or surgery for them to be able to do something. I think thats bull. Are they going to get away with this? I dont have health insurance and I would hate to get a crazy hospital bill thats telling me ill be fine in a couple weeks and attorneys telling me thats not enough. Anything I can do? The officers wouldnt give me their names but I got the license plate. This was today by the way.
