Auto Insurance: Finding the Best Auto Insurance Company in Florida

Because everyone’s situation and needs are different, when it comes to recommending the best auto insurance in Florida, there is no one-company-fits-all solution. But what we can do is point you in the right direction.

When deciding upon which Florida auto insurance company to go with, there are a few things to consider. Start by answering two basic questions:

  • What can I afford, price-wise?
    • What type of coverage do I need?

Then, with each company you look at, ask yourself this:

  • How financially stable is the company I’m considering?
  • Are they competitively priced?
  • Do they offer the coverage I need?
  • What kind of reputation do they have?
  • How good is their customer service?
  • How efficiently do they handle claims?
    • Are they an authorized carrier in my area?

The trick is to 1) decide which of these factors are the most important to you and 2) find the provider who ticks the most boxes based upon how you’ve prioritized. For instance, price may be more important than level of customer service. Or, you may feel that financial stability is vital for your peace of mind and are willing to pay a bit more to get it. Select what’s most important to you; you’re focus will be on finding which company is best at providing those things.

So, now that you know what you’re looking for, how do you go about finding the best insurer with the best deal? Well, you shop around.  Armed with questions in hand, make a few telephone calls or do some web searching. Create a list of Florida auto insurance companies and give each of them marks for meeting your requirements. You can also get information from auto insurance comparison sites; but be careful. These sites don’t always represent all of the brands available and, because commission is earned based upon whom you select to go with, results may vary. To ensure you get complete information, check with more than one, more than once.

Now that you’ve got the information you need, it’s time to discuss it with your broker. Auto insurance companies are highly competitive and are often more-than-willing to meet or exceed a deal if it means retaining your business.  Remember, in order to assure you’re getting a good deal, never make it easy for a broker to sell you insurance. Keep the friendly face—you’ll need one next time there’s an accident—but don’t be a mug. Participate in the decision; working with your broker from a place of knowledge.

If you still don’t know where to begin, a quick web search for top Florida auto insurance companies will provide you with a list of names: Esurance, Geiko, Allstate, State Farm, 21st Century, Progressive, Liberty Mutual, and AAA are all reputable and good providers that immediately spring to mind. But to ensure that you are getting the best policy, you have to rely on more than just a name. So, take some time to do the research and compare. If you do, you can be assured that the auto insurance company you’re choosing is the best Florida auto insurance company for you.

Which is a good website to get an online auto insurance quote?

and which company has cheap rates

allstate.com has amazing coverage and is user-friendly

geico.com – is a good bet for reasonable quotes

Progressive.com – they not only give you their quote, but they compare themselves to other people, wether they beat their price or not

Esurance.com – cuts out the middleman, affordable insurance for all

I prefer Geico myself, but its because I drive a motorcycle.

car insurance lexington ky

car insurance lexington ky
I was in an accidednt today in Lexington KY and I was wondering about small claims court and how to file?

The other party had NO insurance, driving on an suppended license and did an illegal pass. Now all I have is liability insurance and I have to pay for all of this out of my own pocket. I did not have uninsured insurance. I can not drive my car because the strut is bent or broke, so I have to go out and get it fixed at my own expense when it was NOT my fault. The cop told me he could have arrested her but she had her kids (she was a black lady) and I am sure if the shoe was on the other foot I would have been arrested!

Thanks,

Uh, not really sure what being a black lady had to do with it, but if you got her contact information, you can sue her in small claims court for the cost of fixing your car.

Here’s some info on small claims:

car insurance appeal letters

car insurance appeal letters
Didn’t know license would be suspended?

I recently plead guilty to driving without insurance in Delaware with an 1500 dollar fine (even though it was COMPLETELY unintentional, long story, and was under the impression I had insurance). I recently received a letter informing me my license would be suspended for six months, which came as a shock- I was never informed ANYWHERE along the line that I would have my driving privileges revoked or I would have fought it with a lawyer. I need my car, and am joining the military, and can not have a revoked license. Online it says I have 15 days to appeal, but it’s been a month since my conviction and I was not informed until now that my license was suspended. What can I do about this? I am
I bought insurance the day after I realized I didn’t have it, and the officer still didn’t drop the charges. My main problem is that I wasn’t informed I would lose my license or I would have fought, I guess I need to get a lawyer.

lol usually helpful? I wish I lived in ur county

Car Insurance: First Car, a Long Term Investment?

A well known car insurer that specialises in insurance for younger drivers has recently highlighted how spending a little extra on a first vehicle can help bring down insurance premiums.

As a driver new to the road, and those that have been driving for years are both probably aware – the fundamental factor when deciding on their first car is cost & age, with cheaper and older seeming to be better.

However, according to recent information, an initial low investment may not prove cost-effective in the long run. This is because; cheaper vehicles can prove to be more prone to accidents, especially when driven by new or younger drivers.

Some examples of how an older vehicle’s components can impact upon driving situations are as follows –

  • Worn brake pads hamper breaking performance
  • Lack of “power steering” results in heavy steering or difficulty in manoeuvring
  • Cool only or poor heater prevents windows for demisting sufficiently

Any hazardous road conditions such as rain, fog, ice etc are likely to greatly amplify the above problems along with many others.

To combat this problem the company in question; Young Marmalade are now offering lower
car insurance
premiums to young drivers who purchase a car of higher quality.

They do this on the premise that such vehicles are likely to pose less of a hazard and thus reduce the likelihood of being the cause of any future claim(s).

Even though young drivers “new to the wheel” are likely to be more susceptible to accidents, it is believed that this move will help to reduce the likelihood of such problems.

This is reflected in the fact that the insurer has had few very claims since adopting their new service.
