cheap car insurance temporary

one more question on insurance,,,, do I HAVE to cancel existing insurance on my mums car…..?

i have a quote from an insurance company who is willing to give me temporary car insurance for 3 months on my mums car, it works out cheaper then going on as second driver, they said i have to cancel my mums insurance but maybe that is because they wanna make money at the end of the day, my mum is saying i don’t have to cancel the existing insurance but i aint sure, i just think she is worried she may not get the refund for paying for a full years insurance if she cancels… help me out guys !!?
yeah on this new policy i have named her as a driver and at the moment the car is fully comped but do i still have to be a named driver to drive it ?

2 policies cant run on the same car. This is illegal.

your car is insured, and by being a named driver enables you to drive it. I have a policy on my car but I can drive m husbands because i am fully comp, i cannot get a policy specifcally for his car.

listen to the insurance guys – yes they try to screw money out of you, but only by increasing premiums. IF they wanted to get a wee bit more money they would have told u to go on your mums
